God gave Saul a special mission with specific instructions. Saul did not obey. Would Saul admit his mistakes and ask for forgiveness, or would he sourly push God out of his life?

Some people in the Bible acted in “salty” ways. Take a taste-test and discover what that means. What can we learn from their mistakes? And remember, God’s words are always as sweet as honey… or sugar.

Jonathan, Saul’s son, trusted God and began fighting the Philistines. God helped him by sending an earthquake, and the Philistines became confused. Saul heard the commotion but didn’t know what was going on! Would Saul choose to wait for God’s directions? Would he ask for forgiveness for a foolish mistake, or would his salty attitude take over?

Saul wanted to fight the Philistines, but when the Israelites saw the huge Philistine army, most of them ran away and hid! Would Saul choose to rely on God for help, or would his attitude turn salty?

Prophet Samuel announced that God had chosen Saul to be king, but not everyone was pleased with God’s choice. Then the Ammonites attacked! Would Saul let God show him what to do to be a super king?

The people in Israel decided that they wanted a king. Prophet Samuel warned them against this idea, but they insisted, and God chose Saul. Would Saul let God change his heart so that he could become a super leader for Israel?
