After Noah and his family left the ark, I'm sure they noticed that the earth was very different. The ground had been all broken up. Nothing looked familiar.

They had stayed in the ark a long time, but I'm the plants were just starting to regrow. It takes many years for a tree to grow tall. The earth didn't look as pretty as it had before the flood.

Nevertheless, Noah was so thankful and happy that he wanted to give God a special present, an offering.
