This real-life story is from when my husband was a fisherman. A terrible storm becomes a powerful reminder that God hears us in every situation. He listens just as closely to whispered “please help” prayers as He does to long, carefully spoken ones.

Trust doesn’t come easily for everyone, and that’s okay. Here I reflect a little on my own journey with trust and faith and imagine what Noah’s relationship with God might have been like. What can Noah’s story teach us about how trust is built into faith?

This is one of my favourite parts of Noah’s story - God’s rainbow promise! Every time we see a rainbow, it can remind us of God’s love and care.

The rain has stopped, and the water is drying up. Is there a way for Noah to figure out how long God wants them to wait inside the ark?

The ark is finished and the animals and birds come. God promises Noah and his family that they will be safe through the storm.

God needs to save the earth from sin. He sees Noah, a man who will listen and obey. It’s time to build an ark!

This Noah’s ark song comes from the book, “Little Voices Praise Him.” I haven’t found a kid who can resist taking a ride on “Noah’s ark.” Don’t be surprised if all the favorite stuffies need a ride too!
