God had promised to save Noah and his family, and God kept his promise.
The ark rode safely on the water. Earth's wickedness had been washed away. After the 40 days of rain, God sent a strong wind to start drying up all that water.
Slowly, slowly the water began to go down. Finally the tip-tops of the mountains could be seen and the ark came to a stop on a mountain called Mount Ararat.
I'm sure Noah and his family were excited to finally have solid ground under their boat again, but they still had to wait for the water to dry up. How long would God want them to wait?
