News was travelling around about a man named Jesus. He was teaching things that sounded very different than what the religious leaders taught. Plus, he was healing people!
The paralyzed man’s friends said, “Hey, let’s go find Jesus. I bet we could ask him to heal you!”
His friends convinced him to try and carried him to the town where Jesus was. When they found the house where Jesus was teaching, they discovered a problem. The house was full, and more people were pushing for a spot close to the door because everyone wanted to hear what Jesus was saying.
The paralyzed man and his friends spoke loudly. “Excuse us! Excuse us, please! We have to see Jesus!” but nobody moved out of the way.
They had come so far and they were so tired. How close they were! What should they do?
